This assessment has been designed to introduce you to different perspectives of leadership, reflect upon your leadership style, and gain new insights on how to lead effectively.
Choose one of the following film/television shows:
Game of Thrones
House of Cards
Or a home-grown movie or television show approved by your local tutor
Analyse the movie/television show as a leadership case using the following as a guide:
Provide a brief summary of the movie/show
Explain why you have chosen the movie/show and why it has a
leadership theme or insight
Choose one character
Provide a brief summary of that character
Apply the Leadership learning module resources to the movie/show and
Identify key scenes, quotes and apply them to leadership
What perspectives of leadership are portrayed?
What leadership style/perspective does the character best represent?
Describe the competencies associated with the character
Critique the character’s leadership style
What did the character do well (or not)?
Why did that style of leadership work (or not)?
What could the character have done differently to improve his/her style of leadership?
Was the character’s leadership style ethical? For what reason?
What leadership lessons have you learnt from this activity?
You are required to cite a minimum of two (2) scholarly references (excluding the textbook).
