PT Yogya Presisi Teknikatama Industri or popularly referred with its initials (PT YPTI) is a precision partner company that deals in manufacturing checking fixtures, Molds making, Precision parts making and Plastic injection products. The precision company was founded in 1999 and it is located in Kalasan in Indonesia. Having been in the industry for a period of more than 16 years, PT YPTI has been in the forefront in producing quality precision products to its customers that are located both locally and internationally. The growth of the company is attributed to its highly competent workforce combined with investment on sophisticated modern manufacturing facilities.
The company was started by a team of 4 people, who started operating with very few machines such as maho 500 and maho 700, which they would use to make parts for cigarette and furniture industry. However, over the years, PT YPTI has been able to increase its working capital by investing in modern facilities. Some of the machines that the company have been able to purchase include Axis milling machine 3D scanner technology, 5 axis milling machines 2005, Faro arm 6 feet 6 axis, CREAFORM Armless CMM and Double Colum CNC milling machine. Because of the fast growth, PT YPTI has also been able to constantly increase its employees to more than 237 and also established new partners. The company’s operations mostly target industries such as automotive, Energy, cigarette, Medicine and Aerospace. However, the company started working with cigarette and furniture before moving to plastic molds in 2001. In 2002, the company started developing checking fixtures and single parts, and then continued to invest in other machines to enlarge its operations (Mansur, 2016).
The growth of PT YPTI has made the company to develop into a full corporate structure. When the company started in 1999, it was only headed by the 4 investors and then hired 20 employees in kalasan, Yogyakarta. Since 2014, the Company has incorporated new departments to improve management and enhance efficiency. For instance in 2014, the company focused on increasing the operations of the human resource management. The company has also developed a training center for training interested parties on mold and plastic precision. The company has strong market presence because of its strategy for empowering the society by establishing training centre in Hannover Messe Exhibition. Additionally, the company is the home for wide range of products and also maintains quality relations with its partners. According to the Director, the company focuses on maintaining strong relations partnership with its clients by providing quality products at affordable prices.
YPTI has increasingly become one of the most preferred companies by customers across the world for its ability to meet the desires of its clients. With a more than 237 employees, the precision company boasts of having highly competent and experienced employees that are dedicated to providing top quality products. The other factor about the YPTI is it offers its products at relatively affordable prices as compared to its competitors in addition to delivering its product to the customers on a timely basis (Wikan Sakarinto, 2014). Corporate image is essential for boosting the competitive advantage of an organization. The precision company has also capitalized on the corporate image by helping the society and engaging in ethical practices. This has helped the company to maintain strong relations with its stakeholders.
