• This lesson will give students an opportunity to perform several activities:
• By listening to recited poems, students will be able to identify the tone and voice variations that take place in an oral performance
• Students will be able to visually identify the places where tone variations occur
• The exercise will enrich students’ vocabulary in as far as naming tones and any resultant variations is concerned
• Students will have an opportunity to practice poem mapping independently
Resources required:
Teachers will need the following materials in order to deliver this lesson effectively:
 Pens
 Good dictionaries
 LCD projector
 Computer that has a reliable internet access
 Headphones or speakers
