The ability to identify, evaluate and assess are important skills in the field of psychology. In this course we have discussed human behavior, values, motivations, various methods of testing, assessing situations and more. Now it’s time to apply what you’ve learned to a real organizational setting.
Please see either of these previous student papers to help guide you during the creation of the signature assignment. Please note that both of these sample papers would align with the Option 1 Proposal.

You have the option to complete your Signature Assignment Essay in one of two ways.
Option #1 – Proposal
First, identify an ‘industrial,’ ‘organizational’, or ‘developmental’ setting with which you are familiarObserve the behaviors/dynamics of that setting to determine an ‘issue’ or ‘problem’ to studySelect the best approach for and describe an intervention. (You do NOT have to perform the assessment or implement an actual intervention)Then select the best test/assessment to measure this/these behaviorsFinally, provide an anticipated outcome.
Option #2 – ResearchFirst, locate and research existing assessment data that has been documented in an ‘industrial,’ ‘organizational’, or ‘developmental’ (For example: church) settingSpecifically determine which assessment(s) was/were used in that settingThen provide a bibliography of at least 10 scholarly journals that investigates this particular test/assessment; andWrite a justification paper indicating why they either support or discount the rationale for the chosen approach
For either option, the paper must be
• 8-10 pages
• APA formatting
• Utilize at least 10 academic sources, the majority of which must be peer-reviewed journal articles
