TASKIntroductionThis assessment is designed to assist your understanding of the scientific method and write a laboratory report based on some visual data andresults you are provided with. Essentially a laboratory report has the same format as a scientific research journal article so it introduces you topreparation of these, using scientific language, referencing and format appropriate to this form of communication, used globally. Theexperiment you will writing about is mostly conducted by the laboratory sta” except for the last part in which you conduct some measurementsand collect numerical data from photographic results provided. You then analyse the data and draw conclusions from it, finally comparing yourresults to those of the wider scientific community in your report.You must prepare a formal laboratory report based on some data you obtain from some images taken from a ‘real’ experiment. You will beprovided with the images and these are located in the ‘Resources’ section of the Interact site. We can discuss this via the forum. Scientific papersand laboratory reports follow a standard format, consisting of a number of defined sections. You should adhere to the guidelines outlined inyour textbook (Chapters 4 & 5). A sample laboratory report is provided in Chapter 6 of the textbook. Additional presentation specifications canbe found in the “Presentation” section of this subject outline and below.• Please submit this report as a word document (NOT a pdf).• Please reference your work using the APA 6/7 system of referencing.• Please only use peer-reviewed scientific journal articles or textbooks throughout the report.• Please do not reference general websites.
