D. Task Evaluation
Task evaluation is based on: (1) program, each task as a separate controller, (2) report, including
a link to a video showing each different task. Note that functions and tasks to be implemented are
required in future labs.
D.1 Programs (90 points)
The following section shows the rubric for the different tasks:
• Task 1 (20 points)
o Moves specified distance (10 points)
o Completes motion in specified time (5 points)
o Stops based on time (2.5 points)
o Output message if robot cannot complete the motion (2.5 points)
• Task 2 (20 points)
o Moves X degrees in range (0-360 degrees) (7.5 points)
o Completes motion in specified time (5 points)
o Moves X degrees in Y seconds for values greater than 360 degrees (2.5 points)
o Moves X degrees in Y seconds for negative degree values (2.5 points)
o Output message if robot cannot complete the motion (2.5 points)
• Task 3 (25 points)
o Robot travels a trapezoid (5 points)
o Trapezoid has specified height and width (5 points)
o Completes motion in specified time (10 points)
o Output message if robot cannot complete the motion (5 points)
• Task 4 (25 points)
o Robot travels the two circles (5 points)
o Circles have specified radii (5 points)
o Completes motion in specified time (10 points)
o Output message if robot cannot complete the motion (5 points)
• Task 5 (Extra Credit: 25 points)
o Robot travels an ellipse (5 points)
o Ellipse has specified measurements (5 points)
o Completes motion in specified time (10 points)
o Output message if robot cannot complete the motion (5 points)
